Vetra pendant light – mouth-blown glass by Marset

The Vetra Pendant Light by Marset is an elegant pendant light whose shade is made of mouth-blown glass. When switched on, the glass looks like a warmly glowing object; when switched off, like a fine, decorative sculpture. With its clear, round shade and minimal suspension, the Vetra fits harmoniously above a dining table, counter or sideboard or in a stairwell, adding a calm, high-quality accent of light. Design & inspiration of the Vetra Pendant Light

Characteristic of the Vetra Pendant Light is the voluminous yet light glass shade with a diameter of around 43 cm. The mouth-blown glass has a lively, natural surface and emits the light softly downwards and to the sides. The simple suspension deliberately takes a back seat, so that the glass itself is the centre of attention. This makes the Vetra a quiet eye-catcher in the room.

The designer – Joan Gaspar

The Vetra was designed by Joan Gaspar and launched in 2018. Gaspar is one of the defining designers at Marset and is known for his emotional, functional approach to design. With the Vetra pendant light, he uses glass in a clearly decorative way: when switched on, the light looks like a living object; when switched off, it creates a calm, sculptural presence.

Light source & technology

The Vetra pendant light is equipped with a powerful, permanently integrated LED (around 16 W, 2700 K, CRI 90, approx. 1873 lm module luminous flux). It is dimmable via the Triac protocol (external dimmer); DALI control and 3000 K are available on request. The warm white light with high colour rendering creates a particularly cosy mood. The LED is included and does not need to be replaced; it is connected directly to the mains.

Finishes & colours

The Vetra Pendant Light is available in two glass versions: white and amber. The white glass looks bright, clear and understated, the amber glass warm, golden and particularly atmospheric. This allows you to choose the Vetra to suit the desired lighting mood and interior. Simply choose your preferred finish from the dropdown.

Material & workmanship

The shade of the Vetra pendant light is made of mouth-blown glass, the heat sink of aluminium. Each glass is a handcrafted one-off with fine, natural nuances. Careful workmanship and high-quality materials ensure a high-quality appearance and long durability. The black cable (3 m) and the black canopy blend in discreetly.

Use & effect

The Vetra pendant light looks particularly beautiful above a dining table, but is equally suitable above a kitchen island, counter or sideboard or in a stairwell.
