Dipping Light A Wall Light

Dipping Light A wall light – coloured glass light by Marset

The Dipping Light A Wall Light by Marset adds an expressive wall version to the popular Dipping Light family. Its centrepiece is a spherical shade of mouth-blown glass that has been dipped in colour several times – hence the name “Dipping”. This creates a delicate colour gradient that atmospherically tints the warm light. On the wall, the Dipping Light A becomes a poetic eye-catcher in living rooms, hallways, bedrooms, bathrooms, hotels and restaurants.

Design & inspiration of the Dipping Light A

The Dipping Light comes from designer Jordi Canudas, who created an entire family of lights around the idea of dipping. The mouth-blown glass globe is dipped in coloured lacquer, creating a soft transition between clear and coloured glass. This handcrafted process makes each light a small one-off and combines the warmth of glass with a poetic, almost painterly detail – typical of Marset’s emotional approach to design.

Finishes, variants & colours

The Dipping Light A Wall Light is available in two versions – A1 and A2 – and with a holder in graphite or brass. The glass shade comes in amber, blue, green, pearl white and pink. This allows the light to be finely matched to the interior and mood – from understated pearl white to lively blue or green. Simply choose your preferred finish in the drop-down.

Light & technology

Thanks to the mouth-blown, colour-dipped glass, the Dipping Light A emits a warm, softly diffused light that gently brings out the colour gradient of the shade. The combination of clear and coloured glass creates a lively, atmospheric light. The light is ideal as decorative accent and mood lighting on the wall and complements existing lighting concepts harmoniously.

Material & workmanship

The shade of the Dipping Light A is made of high-quality, mouth-blown glass that is coloured in an elaborate dipping process. The holder in graphite or brass provides an elegant contrast to the glass. The handcrafted manufacture ensures a high-quality feel and small, charming differences from piece to piece. This makes every Dipping Light A a carefully crafted design object with a long lifespan.

Use & effect

On the wall, the Dipping Light A creates a calm, poetic lighting mood – individually as an accent, in pairs on either side of a bed or mirror, or in groups for a lively rhythm. The coloured glass adds a subtle splash of colour to the room without being intrusive. In living rooms, hotels and restaurants, the light becomes an atmospheric, decorative element.

Care & installation

The Dipping Light A is easy to care for: the glass shade can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. The graphite or brass holder retains its appearance permanently under normal use. We recommend installation by a qualified electrician to fix the delicate glass shade securely and bring out the soft light effect to best advantage.

Why the Dipping Light A wall light?

The Dipping Light A combines mouth-blown glass, a poetic dipping process and the design signature of Jordi Canudas. Instead of interchangeable mass-produced goods, you get a handcrafted wall light with warm coloured light – in two versions, two holder colours and five glass tones. If you are looking for a special, atmospheric wall light with genuine design credentials, the Dipping Light A is a long-lasting choice.
