Bohemia Pendant Lamp

Bohemia pendant lamp – large designer pendant light by Marset

The Bohemia Pendant Lamp by Marset is an expressive, large-format pendant light that becomes an atmospheric centrepiece in dining rooms, restaurants, hotel lobbies and spacious living rooms. Its striking double shade combines powerful, downward light with a warm, coloured glow to the outside – a play of function and atmosphere that makes the Bohemia unmistakable. Above long tables and counters, it unfolds an inviting presence full of character.

Design & inspiration of the Bohemia

The Bohemia was designed by Joan Gaspar, who has created numerous icons for Marset. Its characteristic feature is the two-part shade: the inner shade is always white and powerfully focuses the light downwards, while the outer, coloured shade creates a soft, decorative glow. This way the Bohemia combines directed task lighting with a warm, cosy basic mood – a design trick that makes the light as functional as it is atmospheric.

Finishes & colours

The Bohemia Pendant Lamp is available with a coloured outer shade in green, purple and orange, adding a lively, elegant accent. For light control, there are two versions to choose from: a dimmable DALI version for professional lighting control systems and a version with a classic E27 socket for maximum flexibility in your choice of bulb. This allows the Bohemia to be matched exactly to the room, mood and infrastructure – simply choose your preferred version from the dropdown.

Light & technology

Thanks to its white inner shade, the Bohemia shines powerfully and with low glare downwards, making it ideal as main lighting above dining tables and counters. At the same time, the coloured outer shade provides a warm, indirect glow that makes the room cosy. In the DALI version, the light can be dimmed steplessly and flicker-free; in the E27 version, you choose the bulb and brightness freely – we recommend a warm white LED bulb.

Material & workmanship

The Bohemia is generously sized and carefully made. The double-shell shade structure is precisely crafted, so the inner and outer shades work together perfectly. The high-quality finish gives the light an elegant lightness despite its size and ensures a clean, long-lasting suspension. This keeps the Bohemia a high-quality eye-catcher full of character for many years.

Use & effect

The Bohemia shows to good effect wherever a large, inviting light source is needed: above long dining tables, in restaurants, cafés and hotel lobbies or in spacious living rooms with high ceilings. Hung on its own it becomes the central eye-catcher; in a group it creates a generous, hospitable lighting display. The coloured outer shade lets you set accents to match the interior design.

Care & installation

The Bohemia is designed for uncomplicated everyday use: the shades can be cleaned with a soft, dry cloth. In the E27 version, the bulb can be changed easily, while the DALI version integrates into existing control systems. Due to its size and weight, we recommend installation by a qualified electrician to ensure a secure, long-lasting fit and the ideal height above the table.

Why the Bohemia Pendant Lamp?

The Bohemia combines a generous format with a clever double-shade concept and Joan Gaspar’s design signature. Instead of interchangeable mass-produced goods, you get a pendant light full of character that combines powerful task lighting with a warm atmosphere – in three lively colours and with a choice between DALI and E27. If you are looking for a generous, inviting lighting centrepiece with real design ambition, the Bohemia is a choice with a lasting effect.
