Igloo wall light – the inhabited light by Studio 11 for LZF Lamps

The Igloo Wall Light by LZF Lamps is more than a wall light – it is an architectural gesture, an invitation to be inhabited. True to its name, the Igloo Wall Light evokes the threshold of a calm, protective atmosphere. The glowing opening draws the eye inwards and reveals a sculptural volume that is present with quiet authority. Designed by Studio 11 for LZF Lamps in Valencia, this wall light is ideal for bedrooms, hotel corridors, entrance areas and any room where a warm, inviting accent light is desired.

Two lamp types: bulb (E14) or integrated LED module

The Igloo Wall Light is available in two technical versions:

• Bulb version: with a classic E14 lamp holder for a replaceable light bulb (LED Satin White Tubular 8 W or LED Mini Globe 5.9 W, dimmable – not included)
• LED DIM version: with an integrated dimmable LED module for a compact form and ready-to-use light output

Both versions create a warm, enveloping light and emphasise the softness of the wood veneer shade.

The Igloo light is available in eleven FSC-certified wood veneers – from subtle natural tones to vibrant colour accents. As wood veneer is a natural product, individual grain patterns and colour nuances are part of its character – no two pieces are alike.

Studio 11 – designer of the Igloo family

Studio 11 is a design collective that developed the Igloo family together with LZF Lamps. The name “Igloo” refers to the archetypal, protective form – a spatial concept that conveys security, intimacy and a sense of dwelling. The Igloo family includes wall, table and floor lamps in different sizes and, with the tagline “The inhabited light”, is a central piece of the LZF 2026 collection.

The design principle is consistent: a vertical, curved form made of wood veneer, a glowing opening at the front and a discreet acrylic diffuser for soft light distribution. The Igloo lights are both light source and sculpture, both functional and poetic.

About LZF Lamps – manufactory quality from Valencia

Since 1994, LZF Lamps has been making designer lights from real wood veneer in Valencia (Spain). With their vision of establishing translucent wood veneer as the main material in lighting production, founders Mariví Calvo and Sandro Tothill created a unique manufactory brand. Every LZF light is made in an elaborate handcrafted process: the veneer is selected, cut, soaked, shaped and sealed – step by step by experienced craftspeople.

The result: lights that not only provide light but also act as sculptural objects. When switched on, the natural grain of the wood becomes a warm play of shadows on walls and ceilings. As wood is a natural product, no LZF light is exactly like the next – each piece is unique with its own character. All products are FSC-certified and carry the CE mark.
