Design & inspiration of the Caramel Wall Light

Characteristic of the Caramel Wall Light is the round, slightly flattened shade of mouth-blown glass that sits on a slim steel canopy. The glass has a lively, natural surface and distributes the light softly into the room. The clear, friendly form looks both modern and timeless and blends harmoniously into a wide variety of interiors.

The designer – Joan Gaspar

The Caramel was designed by Joan Gaspar and came onto the market in 2024. Gaspar is one of Marset’s defining designers and is known for his emotional, functional approach to design. With the Caramel wall light, he uses mouth-blown glass in a clearly decorative way, combining the craft of glassmaking with modern LED technology.

Light source & control

The Caramel wall light is fitted with a permanently integrated LED (SMD, 8.6 W, 2700 K, CRI 90, approx. 1146 lm module luminous flux). The warm white light with high colour rendering creates a pleasant, cosy mood. The light is dimmable and available with either Triac (trailing edge) or DALI-2 control – so it can be integrated optimally into various home and lighting control systems. The LED is included in the delivery.

Sizes, colours & control

The Caramel Wall Light is available in three sizes (22, 28 and 38 cm) and four glass colours: opal, green, blue and brown. You also choose the right control (Triac or DALI-2). From subtle opal to the expressive tones of green, blue and brown, there is a suitable version for every interior style. Simply choose size, colour and control in the drop-down.

Material & workmanship

The shade of the Caramel wall light is made of mouth-blown glass, the canopy of steel and the heat sink of aluminium. Each glass is a handcrafted one-off with fine, natural nuances. The careful workmanship and high-quality materials ensure a high-quality appearance and a long service life.

Use & effect

The Caramel wall light is suitable as atmospheric accent and ambient lighting: in the hallway, next to the mirror, in the living room, bedroom or stairwell.
