Cala Outdoor Floor Lamp

Cala Outdoor floor lamp – outdoor light made of iroko wood by Marset

The Cala Outdoor Floor Lamp by Marset brings a homely atmosphere outdoors. With its body made of warm iroko wood and a weatherproof shade made of polypropylene and Textilene, it combines natural materials with high weather resistance. Whether on the terrace, by the pool, in the garden or on the balcony – the Cala creates a soft, inviting light and becomes the atmospheric centrepiece of any outdoor setting. Its clear, organic shape also makes it a decorative design object that impresses indoors and outdoors alike.

As a robust floor lamp with protection class IP65, the Cala is perfectly equipped for outdoor use and defies wind and weather without losing its homely character.

Design & inspiration of the Cala Outdoor Floor Lamp

Characteristic of the Cala Outdoor Floor Lamp is the large, slightly open shade that distributes the light softly downwards and to the sides. Together, the slender wooden body and the fabric shade have a warm, natural effect. The shape is reminiscent of a classic floor lamp, but consistently translates it for outdoor use. The result is a light that brings a sense of security and elegance outdoors.

The designer – Joan Gaspar

The Cala was designed by Joan Gaspar and launched in 2012. Gaspar is one of the defining designers at Marset and is known for his emotional, functional approach to design. With the Cala Outdoor floor lamp, he combines natural materials with high functionality, creating a light that brings the homely comfort of indoor spaces into the garden and onto the terrace.

Light source & technology

The Cala Outdoor floor lamp is designed for two E27 bulbs (LED, 8 W each, not included) and therefore emits a pleasantly bright, soft light. The shade made of polypropylene and Textilene diffuses the light without glare. With protection class IP65, the light is protected against water jets and dust and is therefore suitable for permanent outdoor use. It is connected via the mains plug (cable length 2.5 m); the switch is located on the shade.

Finish

The Cala Outdoor Floor Lamp is available in the natural finish iroko brown. The warm wood harmonises with plants, wooden furniture and natural materials and blends harmoniously into any outdoor design.

Material & workmanship

The Cala Outdoor floor lamp combines high-quality, weatherproof materials: a body made of iroko wood – a particularly weather-resistant hardwood – and a shade made of polypropylene and Textilene. This combination ensures a high-quality appearance and great durability outdoors. Iroko is known for its natural resistance to moisture and is therefore ideal for outdoor use.

Use & effect

The Cala Outdoor floor lamp is suitable as generous mood lighting on the terrace, balcony, by the pool or in the garden. Its soft, warm light creates a cosy atmosphere for balmy evenings outdoors. Placed on its own, it becomes an eye-catcher; in a group, it shapes entire outdoor areas. It also looks great in a conservatory or a covered entrance area.

Why the Cala Outdoor Floor Lamp?

The Cala Outdoor floor lamp combines natural materials with unmistakable Marset design and high weather resistance: a body made of iroko wood, a weather-resistant fabric shade and protection class IP65. Instead of interchangeable mass-produced goods, you get a durable designer light that brings indoor comfort outdoors. If you are looking for a high-quality, homely floor lamp for outdoor use, the Cala is a choice for timeless design and the very best quality – a light that will bring joy for many summers.
