The Lauro Table Lamp is the reissue of an iconic light made of steel and methacrylate that first appeared in 1973. Clear, almost sculptural lines, an adjustable shade and the unmistakable combination of chrome-plated or dark brown lacquered steel connect modern living spaces with the emotional design language of the 1970s. As the compact table lamp of the Lauro family, it is a true example of how good design stands the test of time and loses none of its appeal even after decades.

As a rediscovered classic, the Lauro table lamp brings a warm presence full of character to the room that today’s mass-produced lights often lack. It is both a design object and a functional light.

Its characteristic feature is the dome-shaped shade made of chrome-plated steel and opal methacrylate, which emits a soft, glare-free light. The shade can be rotated to adjust the direction of the light precisely and moved up and down along the slender body. This lets you direct the light exactly where it is needed – for reading, as an accent or as atmospheric ambient lighting. This flexibility makes the Lauro table lamp exceptionally versatile and practical for everyday use.

The design of the Lauro goes back to J. Pérez Mateo and P. Aragay and originally dates from 1973. Marset carefully reissued the classic in 2025: the timeless silhouette remained untouched, while modern LED technology with an E27 socket ensures contemporary efficiency. This is where the heritage of 1970s Spanish design meets the demands of today’s living and working spaces.

The Lauro Table Lamp is available in four finishes: the frame in either dark brown (NCS S 8505-Y20R) or chrome-plated steel, each combined with a white or black shade. This means there is a suitable version for every interior style – from warm, homely dark brown to cool, glossy chrome. Simply choose your preferred finish from the dropdown.

The shade and body are made of high-quality steel; the shade combines chrome-plated steel with methacrylate. The solid workmanship ensures a pleasant weight and long-lasting stability – the Lauro table lamp stands or hangs securely and looks high-quality throughout. The black cable (2.5 m) comes with a mains plug, and the switch is conveniently located on the shade. Easy to care for and robust, it is designed for years of use.

With its rotating and height-adjustable shade, the Lauro table lamp is ideal as a directed reading and accent light – on a sideboard, desk, console or side table. The opal methacrylate diffuses the light softly and pleasantly. We recommend a warm white E27 LED bulb (2700 K) for a particularly cosy light. Placed on its own, the light quickly becomes the eye-catcher of a room.

The Lauro table lamp combines collector’s value with everyday usability: a reissued classic that impresses with a real methacrylate shade and a solid steel body instead of interchangeable mass-produced goods. The rotating and height-adjustable shade makes it flexible, and the four finishes blend into classic and modern interiors alike. If you value timeless Spanish design, high-quality materials and long-lasting workmanship, the Lauro table lamp is a choice for many years – a piece of design history that brings joy every day and enhances any room.

Also discover the portable Follow Me Cordless Lamp, which Ginger 20 M Table Lamp and the Funiculí Floor Lamp.
